Charlestown Road

Take a walk down Charlestown Road in the museum where a number of animated scenes depict various aspects of life in Charlestown through the ages.

Peep through a cottage window, look at a blacksmith's shop and see the cooperage - a thriving trade in the early days of industrial Charlestown, with barrels being used to transport fish and clay.
